From Scott Schaffer: LKJ - Sonnys Lettah (Anti - Sus Poem)
From the 1979 release "Forces of Victory" LKJ tells a story of police brutality and harassment. Over a straight forward simple bass line laid down by Dennis "Blackbeard" Bovell, LKJ tells us a story through a letter home from a wrongly incarcerated man. By reading "these few lines" we hear a story that has probably been told a million times, by innocent people, in every language. LKJ makes it clear through this song of dub poetry how easily a men in uniform can change your life, forever. I think we have all experienced it, to some degree. Thankfully, not like Sonny. back to podcastbattle.com
