From Joe: For Round Five, part two I submit Sister Carol's A No Me Name Peggy. The Black Cinderella is truly a dj great - she is wise, clever, and righteous; and has a stunning rapid-fire delivery style for her conscious lyrics. In an aggressive, male-dominated genre, Mother Culture more than holds her own and keeps competitors in line. She regularly gigged at the Lion's Den in NYC when I lived there, playing on bills with many hard JA and NY djs (including the great Oku Onuoura) and she always tore it up. A No Me Name Peggy tells us exactly who she is, and who she's not! Joe
